A Dialogue Beyond Time and Space, Appreciating Chinese Architecture ——College of International Education organized famous Chinese architecture sharing session for international students

On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 25, 2023, the College of International Education held an online event for international students from all over the world. The theme was appreciating famous Chinese architecture, introducing students to famous Chinese architecture, and showing the culture and wisdom contained in the distinctive and wonderfully charming Chinese architecture.

The sharing session introduced the Forbidden City, which is listed as “World Cultural Heritage” by UNESCO, Suzhou Garden, which is known as the royal garden in the south of the Yangtze River, the Bund in Shanghai, which is a collection of important architectural styles from all over the world, and the Bell Tower in Xi’an, which is typical of the Ming Dynasty with heavy eaves and three drops of water. The architecture aroused the interest and enthusiasm of the international students.

International students participating in the online activity

With the theme of Chinese architecture, the sharing session not only let the international students understand the profundity of Chinese traditional culture but also the wisdom contained in Chinese architecture. The interplay of modern and ancient architecture spans time and space, and shows the future development prospect of China, allowing the international students to get to know China more deeply.
